Things to Do and See
when you stay at Park Farm
Park Farm Camp Site is ideal if you just want to take it easy and relax... or it is the perfect base to explore the High Weald and 1066 Country.

Park Farm Activities

Children's Play Area
Park Farm has fantastic open spaces - great for kite flying, cycling and generally burning off energy!
There is also a children's play area. This is partly covered and offers swings, a see-saw and even an aerial runway!
Walks, Fishing and Wildlife

Guests are welcome to walk around both the camp site and the farm, although we ask guests to please respect the Countryside Code and the fact that Park Farm is a working farm.
Paths on the farm link up with footpaths further afield. Fairytale Bodiam Castle is a lovely 20 minute walk along the riverbank.
Campsite guests can fish for free in the river Rother from the campsite grounds - bring your own fishing gear. Likely catches include chubb and roach. There are fishing lakes nearby to cater for serious sport fishermen.

Campsite visitors might also spot a variety of wildlife, including deer and bird life, such as barn owls, plus a wide range of plants, butterflies and insects.
Park Farm also grows the wonderful sunflowers you can see decorating our website.
Campfires

Don't forget, you can also bring a barbecue or build a small campfire. There is nothing like the evocative smell of wood smoke to give a traditional camping atmosphere, and you can cook your meals or toast marshmallows too.
Hope Family Festival
A Park Farm tradition is the annual Hope Family Festival. If you visit this weekend, it will be noisy! There is music and fun for all the family on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday of Hope Festival weekend.
Past Hope Festivals have featured live bands at each event, plus lots of children's entertainment, like face painting, stilt walking and even fire eaters! The 2008 event looks set to be held the first weekend in June, but dates and programme are not yet finalised. However, you can check out the latest event news as it becomes available on the Hope Festival website.
