As well as the beautiful countryside, the fantastic history and the wonderful beaches, there are lots of attractions within easy driving reach of Park Farm. A small selection of places to visit in Sussex and Kent are given below.

Bodiam
Only a 20 minute riverside walk from Park Farm, visitors can drop in on the Castle Inn, which has family facilities. Or why not have a cuppa in the local tearooms or pop in to the local gift shop, in the grounds of Bodiam Castle. The Curlew Inn and restaurant is at the crossroads three quarters of a mile North of Park Farm.

Bodiam Castle and other National Trust Properties
As well as fairytale Bodiam Castle, there are several other National Trust properties in easy reach of Park Farm. These include the wonderful gardens at Sissinghurst Castle, Cranbrook, Smallhythe Place at Tenterden, Scotney Castle at Lamberhurst and further afield, Batemans in Burwash.
Steam Railway
A popular attraction for families and a must for steam railway enthusiasts, the Kent and East Sussex Railway operates between Bodiam and Tenterden. A little further is the Spa Valley Railway at Tunbridge Wells and away on the coast, you will find the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway. Into Sussex, the famous Bluebell Railway is well worth a visit. Most railways hold special event weekends and dining services.
Gardens, Historic Houses and Museums
The famous gardens at Great Dixter are a short drive away. Other popular gardens open to the public are Pashley Manor Gardens at Ticehurst and Merriments Gardens at Hurst Green. Historic buildings and houses nearby include Hever Castle and Battle Abbey and there are many museums throughout the region.
Vineyards and produce
The South East is becoming well-known for its vineyards and the quality of English wines produced here. Several offer tastings and tours, like Carr Taylor Vineyards at Westfield. The Lamberhurst Vineyards also have a childrens' zoo. You will also find many farm shops throughout the region selling locally grown produce and try to catch a Farmer's Market at Battle, Brede, Rolvenden or Cranbrook.
Sports and Fishing
There are many places to fish in East Sussex and Kent, but the nearest to Park Farm include Hawkhurst Fish Farm, where day tickets are available. Fishing and water sports fans can also head off to Bewl Water. Here sailing, canoeing, and wind-surfing are on offer, there are cycle routes and walks around the reservoir plus refreshments are available.
Beaches and the Coast
Of course, there are always local beaches, not too far from Park Farm campsite. Camber Sands with its fantastic sandy beaches is only 15 miles away, great for sandcastles and a family day at the beach. Shingle beaches stretch for much of the coast, but several including Cooden Beach near Bexhill, are popular with wind surfers and jet skiers. Or visit historic Rye and Rye Harbour or Hastings Old Town, with its fishing boats and net shops.
