Park Farm - Testimonials

Here are just a few of the testimonials we have received

I HAVE JUST SPENT 4 BLISSFUL DAYS AT YOUR CAMPSITE AND WANTED TO SAY HOW FANTASTIC THE FACILITIES ARE!  My husband and I had a wonderful time and were very impressed with how the whole campsite runs. Our son loved the play area and we found the toilets and showers were excellent. We are interested in your electric hook up pitches which are available for the entire season.  Could you please give me any more info on how to go about booking a pitch for next season for a caravan as we are very interested in doing this.  MANY THANKS.
Rosalynne Whaite - 16th August 2011

WELL DONE PARK FARM - Tricia, Daz and friends June 2011 - Tricia Winter

Just writing to say our group of 11 adults & 7 kids had another great week at this campsite for the 2nd year in a row, we even managed to pitch at the same spot!

Great staff keeping the place clean and tidy and it was a very safe place for the kids to play. We would recommend this site to anyone, the camp fires of an evening are a great idea, we all had a chilled out week. THANK YOU.

Dear Lucinda,

As arranged a group of family and friends stayed at your campsite at the weekend and I am writing to thank you for all the improvements made since our last stay (2008).  The toilets and shower block are certainly much better and the site feels safer with the security patrols and on site manager.  We had an enjoyable weekend despite the weather not being its best and look forward to meeting up again next year at Park Farm Camp Site - Many thanks - Susan (June 2011)

Another great weekend at this campsite, sometimes it gets a bit busy but that is because it is a great place to take the family, lots to do locally, good staff and a very safe place for the kids.  If you like lots of rules and people telling you how to camp then don't come here, this is a very relaxed site but that doesn't mean it is unruly, quite the reverse.  We have camped at many sites all over the country this is the best site and we now come most weekends, a very nice safe site with good staff that try their best to accommodate you.

Well done Park Farm keep up the good work.  Jim - August 2010

You arrive at the gate to a friendly welcome from staff, you can choose where you would like to pitch, you can choose how much room you all need, you can choose what you would like to do.  Where else can you camp in freedom, within reason have a good time and feel very safe?  Camping of course should always be like that. That's what camping is: a release from the normal rules that hedge us and control us, the only rules need be common sense and common law ie: just be good to your neighbour and have respect for your surrounding.  Sitting round the camp fire late at night with my 3 brothers and all our kids, smell of good ash wood buring: awesome!  Walking round the site, all types of tents, small vans, families preparing tea, candles shining at every pitch.  Man what's to complain at? Everyone who goes there is a part of its evolution, everyone has a part to play.  That's why you don't need white lines to mark out your pitch or a list of rules to follow, we all love the place.

Overall a nice friendly relaxed atmosphere.  This was our first camping trip for years and with children which was brave but we had a great time.  3 large fields to choose from and pitch up where you like. LOVELY that they allow campfires too.  There is a lovely riverside walk to Bodiam Castle from there which takes 15 minutes.  Lisa - August 2009

Hi Lucinda,

Had the pleasure of staying at your fantastic campsite last weekend and really enjoyed myself. I was wondering when does your campsite close for the year, as I would like to arrange another stay this years. If you could e-mail me your answer I would be very grateful.

Many thanks - John Corti

We stayed at Park Farm for one night as it was our first night under canvas as a family and we wanted to stay at a site with decent facilities just to ease ourselves into it.  When we arrived, we were met at the main gate by two ladies who took our money and gave us advice on which field to choose to best suit what we wanted (there were three main areas one of which seemed to be a bit noisy and geared more towards groups).  As we drove in, because the site was so large and you can choose where you want to pitch up, the whole place had a kind of festival feel to it.

Although it wasn't exactly what we expected, the whole site seemed to be run well, the toilet and washroom blocks were clean and because of the gated entrance, all seemed secure.

We walked to the Castle Inn at Bodiam Castle on Saturday afternoon which took us about half an hour (we did have a 2 year old walking with us which slowed us down) and the pub is a nice kid and dog friendly place although the food menu is a little bit dearer than average but a very good standard.

All in all, we had a great first experience and would recommend Park Farm as a good, safe, clean site in a good location.  Darren - July 2009

Hello Lucinda and Max

Just thought we would drop you a line to thank you and your fantastic caretakers Marcia and Alan, for giving us 10 days of absolute rest and relaxation at Park Farm.

Firstly we would like to say that Marcia and Alan should be commended for the way that they run your site, ensuring the cleanliness is always top notch both on the fields and in the showers/toilet block. They are both approachable and friendly and represent your site in a very professional manner. Marcia and Alan also ensured that the security and overnight patrols, did a very good job, ensuring everyone on site had a memorable, safe stay.

Your site, its just as the website describes. We are so glad we chose to book here. The walk to Bodiam Castle is lovely, and well worth the walk, not only for the castle, but the nice pint in the Castle Inn! We did miss not seeing your crop of Sunflowers (perhaps we will see them next year?). During the week the site was peaceful allowing us both to completely chill out, and the Friday and Saturdays added a touch of festival fun. The site is so well positioned it allows for some great days out to places such as Hastings, Rye, Camber, Dungeness, the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway etc.

We were that impressed, we have already recommended your site to family and friends, who are coming to Park Farm next week.

We are both looking forward to returning in the near future and can't praise the site enough.

Thanks to all for a such a lovely stay. Mr and Mrs P Cooper

Hi Lucinda and Max

Just to say thank you for yet another fantastic stay at your farm. The care taking staff are excellent and really impressed us on the thursday when they drove to the farm to get logs for us even though we were the only ones on site. Shame glow lanterns are no longer allowed but very understandable

Hope to see you in a fortnight if you have room - Baz and barrie

Hello,

This is the fourth time in 2 years that myself and friends have done our Dads and kids weekend at your camp site and once again I have to say it was terrific, with the added walk around security it made for a really chilled out weekend.  We will be planning more trips to your site as the kids really enjoy the woodland trips and messing by the river and their favourite is building the fire for toasted marshmellows and ghost stories.
The upgraded washing and tiolet facilities are well done, thank you and see you next year.

Mick Souter and friends
